Three Rounds of Machine and Hand Guitar Polishing
Fante Guitar polishing involves a meticulous process that can take up to three rounds of machine and hand polishing to achieve a flawless finish. The first step is to use a high-speed rotary buffer with a cutting compound to remove any imperfections or scratches on the guitar's surface. Next, a slower speed buffer with a polishing compound is used to refine the finish and bring out a mirror-like shine.
After the machine polishing, the guitar is carefully inspected for any remaining imperfections or swirl marks. Any areas that require further attention are then meticulously hand-polished using microfiber cloths and a gentle polishing compound. This process is repeated until the desired level of gloss and smoothness is achieved.
Finally, a protective wax or sealant is applied to the guitar's surface to preserve the finish and protect it from environmental damage.
